Client Q&A: A White Quartz Wonderland in Kennesaw, GA

BA Kitchen & Bath Design recently helped clients James and Camilla Cerulli complete their Kennesaw kitchen remodel with this goal in mind: create an elegant, light, and livable space. The Cerulli's were recommended to BA by a friend and approached our designers and remodeling professionals hoping to transform their brown and black kitchen into a brighter, more inviting space that would better suit their style and routine.

Design Goals

BA: How would you describe your household's daily lifestyle?

The Cerulli's: Being together with each other, our pets, and our friends.

BA: What features did you most want to change about your previous space?

The Cerulli's: Lighten up the kitchen and make it utilize the space better.

As a full-service remodeling company, we aim to be our clients' one point of contact for all design work, planning, demo, and installation. The first step of understanding our clients' needs, preferences, and overall design goals sets the tone for the rest of the remodel. For this project, we knew we could elevate the space and bring in some much needed light and functionality. We wanted to provide a sense of bright, refined, comfortable living to our clients' home.

Before & After

Project Details

BA: How would you describe the final design aesthetic?

The Cerulli's: The overall layout is comfortable, livable, and casual-yet-elegant.

BA: What are your favorite features of your new space?

The Cerulli's: The quartz countertops and backsplashes--and lighting design are the features we are most impressed with.

We agree with the Cerulli's that the Cambria Inverness Platinum Matte quartz countertops, matching full-height backsplash, and waterfall edge island are standout features of their newly transformed kitchen. The quartz, supplied and installed by our sister company BA Stone Surfaces, features soft charcoal veining and hints of silver against a crisp white background.

We kept things bright with tall J&K Dove cabinetry, including clear glass uppers in the bar area. Special features include pull-out spice racks, roll-outs in the bases, a lazy Susan, and full-height door bases. We also added functional details like an airswitch for disposal, elegant under-cabinet lighting, and a pot filler over the range. Finally, this rejuvenated Kennesaw kitchen features touches of gold throughout in the cabinet hardware, faucet, pendant lighting, and custom hood vent for a luxury finish.

The Experience

BA: How closely did you work with BA's designers and remodeling professionals when planning your project?

The Cerulli's: Worked very closely with so many talented, knowledgeable people at BA. I wanted to give a special acknowledgement to Phil, Baldemar, Todd, Karen, and Diego. It was clear that everyone at BA works well together with the customers' concerns and wishes as a top priority.

BA: Do you have any other feedback about your experience working with BA?

The Cerulli's: A complete kitchen remodel is in and of itself very stressful. Consequently, as you're faced with so many questions and are presented with so many viable options, we were constantly changing our minds over all the details of what we wanted BA Kitchen & Bath Design to do. Not once did we receive any resistance for changing our minds and were actually encouraged whenever we contemplated doing so. There was no doubt that the company wanted to deliver to us exactly what we wanted. So many of our concerns were met with very practical and innovative solutions that made the project go so well.

*All design and remodeling work was completed by BA Kitchen & Bath Design with stone supply and installation by BA Stone Surfaces.
